Richard's Bistro
Manchester, New Hampshire's only five star restaurant, Richard's Bistro offers an eclectic atmosphere with an intimate dining experience. With an elegant charm, owner Chef Richard Vareschi has created a menu with a diverse mix of traditional American cuisine.

Our meal starts with the Maine lobster cake. Served hot and crispy, the lobster cake, topped with an aioli was a strong and tasty beginning. Next, we try the unique barbequed bacon wrapped scallops....each scallop was bursting with sweet barbeque flavor.

Our first entrée, the pecan breast of chicken was a little overly sweet with a crispy bite that tasted a little more like a dessert than an entrée. The sweet macadamia nut salmon dish melted in our mouths. Paired with a honey pear cous cous, this side dish stole the show!

For dessert we dove into the homemade chocolate espresso tiramisu parfait. Elegant and beautiful, this dish was creamy and sooo delicious. Flambéed directly at our table, we dug right into our bananas foster. The warm combination of creamy and crunchy was hard to stop!

Service left something to be desired though.... After an average night of service and confusing our bill with others, the waiter asked us to specify what we had ordered, so they could write our bill. Appetizer's averaged $10, entrees $30 and desserts averaged $9… great prices for the atmosphere and eclectic menu..just watch that service!!

Overall, Richard's Bistro will earn the gold plate!
